Twiglets
Forest School for preschool-aged children and their carers

Every Monday 10.30 - 12

Term time only

Suitable for children who can walk unaided up to school age.

Join us in our weekly Forest School sessions for toddlers and preschool children. Our small, informal and sociable group will soon become part of your weekly routine!

What to Expect

Each session is different  depending on: the season, the children's interests, the weather and whatever else may come up in the woods! Each session will include games, creative activities, free-play and a reflection time with a small snack. When taking part, your child is engaging with nature in wild spaces in an exploratory, sensory and physical way.

Forest Friends activities include:

• Woodland and nature exploration
• Building dens and other structures
• Fires and cooking
• Games and invitations for imaginative play
• Natural crafts
• Using tools, such as knives and saws
• Scavenger/treasure hunts
• Seasonal celebrations
All activities are dependent on the experience, ability and enthusiasm of the participants.

Sessions always include a snack for the children and their carers to share and campfire cuppas for the adults (bring a mug)!

Forest School works best for children if they attend regularly – they become more independent and we can get to know them and plan sessions around their interests. Therefore, these sessions are booked in blocks. The longer the block, the cheaper the cost per session; costs range from £8-10 per session. See our Facebook page or our Eventbrite for up-to-date pricing.
